MARKET ANALYSIS
GT3 RS (2018 to 2020)

Reintroduced in 2018 as the ultimate evolution of the 991-generation RS formula, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2) pushed naturally aspirated performance to its peak before the arrival of the 992. Retaining the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, output was increased to 513 hp, paired exclusively with a 7-speed PDK driving the rear wheels, delivering relentless track-focused performance and razor-sharp response. Visually and aerodynamically, the 991.2 GT3 RS featured a revised front fascia aligned with the 991.2 GT3, along with reworked side skirts and a large fixed rear wing, while the optional Weissach Package added extensive carbon fibre components, magnesium wheels, and further chassis stiffening for maximum weight reduction and circuit capability. Production is estimated at approximately 1,200–1,300 units worldwide, making it one of the rarer modern RS models. In the Australian market, the 991.2 GT3 RS is exceptionally scarce, with limited official allocations and intense collector demand, and values driven by Weissach specification, originality, mileage, and provenance, firmly placing it among the most desirable modern naturally aspirated Porsches ever produced.
