Tourist Delivery / Australian Delivered (1975 to 1975)

The Porsche 911 930 Turbo holds a legendary status in the Australian automotive landscape, defined by its "Widowmaker" reputation and remarkable scarcity in right-hand drive. Between 1975 and 1989, only a small fraction of global production reached Australia, with the early 3.0-litre models being particularly elusive; of the 91 right-hand drive units built worldwide, only 41 were destined for our shores, including 14 delivered in 1976. By 1985, local deliveries remained limited with only 47 known examples, some of which were further distinguished by period-correct tuning kits fitted by Porsche Cars Australia. Adding to this provenance, a select number of vehicles were acquired through the Tourist Delivery program, allowing Australian owners to take delivery at the factory in Europe and tour the continent before the car was shipped home. This unique delivery method, combined with the extreme rarity of genuine Australian-delivered examples, creates immense desirability and a highly competitive buyer pool. These cars are prized not just for their performance, but for their documented local history and original right-hand drive configuration, ensuring they remain at the pinnacle of the classic car market.
