Toyota Supra for Sale in Australia1978-2025

About the Toyota Supra

First introduced in 1978, the Toyota Supra has become one of Japan’s most recognisable performance nameplates, spanning five generations and maintaining a consistent front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout throughout its evolution. Early generations (A40/A50, A60, A70) established the Supra as a capable grand tourer, while the fourth-generation A80 (1993–2002) elevated it to global icon status thanks to its turbocharged 2JZ inline-six and immense tuning potential. After a long hiatus, the Supra returned in 2020 as the A90, blending modern technology with the classic straight-six, RWD formula. Across all generations, over 550,000 Supras have been produced worldwide. In the Australian market, the Supra has enjoyed strong official sales and a passionate enthusiast base, with values today heavily influenced by generation, transmission (manual premium), originality, and performance variants, particularly as clean A80 examples continue to solidify their status as true modern classics.
